Alright, I'm not a registered Democrat, and I guess that is a good thing as they have finally pushed me over the line. Can they find their spine? Can they find their brain? Can we find it for them?
The torture/Detainee bill passed the Senate yesterday, and it passed without much fight from the Dems. Could they have at least filibustered the damn thing. Couldn't they do something to show us that they still have our (US Citizens) best interests at heart?
This bill provides the President with unprecedented powers to detain indefinantley anyone one he chooses. Now, this bill was passed with "enemy combatants" in mind, but it extends to US citizens as well. So I guess we are going to have to trust Mr. Bush in that he doesn't abuse this newfound power.
